Web based Library Management System and its Web Portal will provide a single window for the library community of Bangladesh in order to securely exchange of information electronically across its stakeholders involved in the library chain including the members, different libraries, government and non governmental agencies. e-Library: Web based Library Management System

This Web based Library Management System automates almost all the processes require for Library Management. This System can manage the Book Acquisition and Distribution process in a much more organized way. Once the Distribution Order has been prepared by the Acquisition and Distribution section of a library, the information is forwarded to the corresponding unites of library for accept delivered Book. Book receive is processed according to the information of Distribution Order.

This software system also automates all the processes require for manage Member. Book Reservation, Book Issue & Book Return. This system can manage user define Member Policy for different category of member where user can define any loan periods for that category of member. User can also change any previously defined loan period at any time. System checks book availability, user records & member policy before allowing borrow/renewal and return of Book. Unauthorized users are blocked according to thresholds set by the library. This system has a strong report generation capabilities. In addition to various tasks associated with Library, Library Management System provides the ability to retaining library staffs and member's day to day information and its statistics.

Book Acquisition & Distribution Information

Library Members enrollment, fees and fines Information

System will also help in automating almost all the processes required for Library cards, fines and fees operations and member should get a notification about the fines and fees information by e-mail the dwell time can be reduced by this.
  • Delinquent member can be blocked according to thresholds set up by the authority.
  • Membership form is available through online system; this form is to capture the member's information online.
  • Routine reports (i.e. Membership application log, Members log) and registers (i.e. Member Register) can be generated using this system.

Member and return Information

  • Self Service points in the Library; The reader/member/library staffs will be able to search and browse Book exactly as they were entered earlier, including Book Title, Call Number, Accession Number, Author, Subject and other useful criteria.
  • The system will let the library staff to check out the Book in much more organized way and members are notified if Book return date is being due via e-mail. The system calculates and updates the billing (i.e. late fee) account automatically and when the member borrows or returns a book & sends a notification by e-mail to the recipient.
  • Due to be paid by the applicable member will be calculated and the information about the member and the due amount will be stored in the system & sends a notification by e-mail to the default recipient.
  • The system provides the members with online blocking/reserve of Book capabilities through wish list and the Online Library System is up and running all day & sends a notification by e-mail to the recipient whenever Book are available.
  • Extensive search engine that will help to finding Book and members the dwell time can be reduced by this.
  • Routine reports (i.e. borrow/return log, due log) and registers (i.e. Issue/Return Register) can be generated using this system.
